This is a great buy. We had a fence already but it was too small an area for our 7 month old, so we bought this one and attached it to the other one with a snap, which comes with the fence. This gives him a lot more room to move around. He likes to hold on to the fence and walk around it. It is sturdy enough for this and a good height, I can step over it fairly easily but its not too short for him to be able to get over when he's older. Would recommend.

Also, I have put mylar ballons at the top, out of reach of course. It is nice to be able to sit down with a cup of coffee while she safely plays. It opens and closes nicely for putting away when she is not here. Her mommy is going to get one for her home, except she is getting the 8 panel one for her larger living room. I bring my baby girl to work. She is FULL of energy, and can't handle a traditional play yard for long. I put this up with her toys and she can be in there entertaining herself and feeling part of everything for hours. I have to assemble it and disassemble it everyday she comes with me and it takes all if two minutes to do so. I've done the research and this is the cheapest and most attractive one out there. Assembly is difficult at first but gets easier. We also have one surrounding our spiral stair case to prevent her from getting to it and it works well. No complaints just a little stiff in initial use.

The gate is extremely difficult to put together and close. There are no instructions, so the first time we attempted to fold it and move it, a piece of it broke and is now sharp on one side. Its sturdy when its up and definitely gets the job done if youre trying to keep your little one contained, but I regret not just buying one of the more expensive ones marketed for babies.

8. Sounds like a manufacturing error. It should have come with pads ( possible you could have missed them in the box as well) this gate is quite simple to open all you need to do once taking it out of the box is unfold and shape the way you want and they interlock with each other. There is no need for anything else. They sell attachable add ons separate as well if you ever need to expand. I would contact dxoffersmall.com and tell them your gate came with missing parts and they would gladly give you a new one I'm sure.

9. Yes I actually did the same thing I was also having trouble finding a gate long enough for the space I needed it for. I got this to test it out and it worked. You can hold the gate up by either pressing two things at the end once you have the gate in place. Example in my house. I got a little string tied it on each end after I spread it out length ways. Put a nail in the wail with the string away from the gate just to get it to stay there. Then I rearranged my space so that my tv stand and one of my kids very large playhouse sat at each end to hide the nail and string and end gate pieces. It actually spreads at very very long! I was really happy with it. I could have removed two pieces and it STILL would have fit the long space. Was very pleased with the purchase and the way it works. Keeps the kids out of the kitchen and safely in the living room! .

2. I don't think it can. But it is versatile so you can fit to adjust it to the shape you desire. The picture shows an octagon, I have mine set as a triangle.

3. Yes it folds back on itself like an accordion I have made it smaller to fit a small space but it won't stay closed unless you tie it. I used the carrying strap to keep it closed.

1. No, there is not a difference in the two.

2. I don't think there is really any difference. I have the blue one. When I called the manufacturer for a part the receptionist said the pink and blue were new for DX Offers Mall and were otherwise essentially the same.
